Our Next Adventure

When a friend suggested I start a blog about design and our new project I dismissed it as something I couldn’t do, being technically challenged at best. But after a little thought, a little research and a little help from a friend, I thought it would be a good way for us to document a project from start to finish, something we have never done. Turns out it wasn’t that hard to start. And who knows, maybe it will turn into something bigger. The name Fish and Farm has been an idea we’ve been throwing around for a few years as a new business with a wine / lifestyle / farming component - figured I might as well start by getting the name out there. If nothing else we’ll have our progress documented and keep our friends and family up to date - so here it goes.

Landon’s happy place

Landon’s happy place

After several years of obsessively scrolling through real estate listings (me), researching areas, travelling and working with multiple realtors, we found a place that spoke to us. Almost an acre on the Puget Sound with a spectacular view of the Olympic Mountains, Bald Eagles nesting next door, Orcas, oysters on the beach… you get the picture. It’s out of town but close to many charming communities and a short drive to the ferry to Seattle, not far from the airport to see friends and family, close to other family and somewhere that works for our kids whether in college or living with us. Overall it’s a fit.

So I’ll start my first post with the good photos that make us feel better about the project we just took on - and project is an understatement. Will wait until my next post to really get into it - at that point you might think we’re crazy.
